Stakeholder events

Module Description – Stakeholder Events

DESCRIPTION

EurActiv organises stakeholder events in Brussels and other European capitals.

  • All of our events include 4-6 speakers representing the European Commission, the European Parliament (MEPs), Member States, industry and associations, civil society and think tanks. The client is allocated one speaker slot.
  • We invite participants from all EU institutions, including MEPs, Permanent Representations and Missions to the EU, EU and national-level associations and organisations, private companies, NGOs, think tank, academia, other media.
  • All events are moderated by one of our journalists with relevant expertise in the topic of discussion. This enables a neutral and unbiased conversation to the benefit of all the parties involved.
  • Our events are interactive and aim at including in the discussion all participants, not only the speakers. Everyone is welcome to express their opinion and contribute to the conversation.
  • A highlight video of the event, including interviews to the speakers, is filmed during the event and subsequently published on EurActiv.com/video.
  • Further visibility is granted with the posting of the event on Agenda.eurActiv.com and by social media coverage before, during and after the event. The live Twitter coverage further helps creating an impact outside of the room. We can also organise close-door, off-the-record events if you think that it would be more appropriate to your discussion.
  • EurActiv will take care of all aspects of the event. After a first meeting with you to define the topic in more details, we will draft a programme to include your policy priorities and our editorial input. We will then invite relevant speakers and participants, manage the participant list and coordinate with the speakers, advertise the event through our communication channels, book the venue and catering, ensure the needed audiovisual equipment is available. We regularly keep you informed and updated.
  • On the day of the event, we will welcome all guests and ensure a smooth running of the debate. We are also in charge of the follow up to the participants and of the publication of the video to enable a continuation of discussion after the end of the event.

We organise two main types of events, all of them including the features described above:

  • WORKSHOPS: small roundtable debates, gathering around 30 working-level participants.
  • CONFERENCES: lunchtime or evening events gathering 70-100 high-level policy stakeholders.

  • Being allocated one speaker slot.
  • A high-level networking platform to meet a wide array of selected influential stakeholders.

CLIENT INPUT AND EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE

  • The event is organised as a “EurActiv event with the support of”. The support of the client is clearly visible on all promotional material, including the programme and invitation. You can also include your own leaflets and other material in the information pack we prepare for each participant.
  • As an independent and respected media, EurActiv ensures a neutral and professional discussion in which all points of view are represented. We aim at offering flexible event solutions tailored to the clients’ needs, while maintaining an independent editorial line.
