The purpose of this post is to cover writing elements that are specific to the “Video” content type. Before continuing, you should read the General Post Writing post.
Linking to the Video
Note: as opposed to previous systems, the video thumbnail is not automatically pulled out of the video service. It must be input manually.
The video content type will accept videos from YouTube, Vimeo or BrightCove. To input the video, use the “Video URL” box, which looks like this:
Paste the URL to the video in the text box. Check the oEmbed box as appropriate. The selected video will appear in place of the featured image on the post page.
Video Categories
Videos are the only content type with content type categories. To select a video type, use this meta box:
