Display options are a couple of options that affect how and where an article will display. The metabox looks like this:
The three options mean:
- Front Page: If checked, this article will be added to the feed of articles that are on the home page. If this box is not checked, the article will appear only on its content type page (eg, “News”) and on any selection Section start pages. This box is checked by default.
- Promoted Content: this option denotes that the content is directly sponsored by a third party. If checked, a “Promoted” tag will appear on the article teasers and a disclaimer will appear within the article content itself.
- Rotator: If checked, this item will be added to the front page featured articles block. This item can also be managed from the “Pipeline Management” page.
- Editor’s Pick: If checked, this article will be included in the highlighted articles of the hub newsletter of the section it belongs to. This item can also be managed from the “Pipeline Management” page.
