LiveBlogging is available via the Liveblog plugin by Automattic. The plugin’s online documentation is very complete.
In the EurActiv implemenation, LiveBlogging is available on the “News” content type only. To turn a News item into a live blog, find the “Liveblog” metabox in the right column. Click the “Enable” button to activate the liveblog. You can then go to the website frontend and post liveblog entries as desired.
Notes:
- Embedding content (Tweets, EurActiv articles, videos…) works in the same manner as everywhere else. In other words, you can simply paste the URL. However, the embedded content will not be fetched until the liveblog entry is published, it will not show in the editor.
- When the event the liveblog is covering is complete, don’t forget to press the “Archive” button.
