The purpose of this post is to cover writing elements that are specific to the “News” content type. Before continuing, you should read the General Post Writing post.
The “News” content type is the most basic content type that we have. There is very little that is different from the “General Post” section linked above. Aside from the standard fields, “News” posts have the following additional fields:
- Positions
- Background
- Timeline
- Further Reading
One functionality that exists on “News” posts that does not exist elsewhere is the Liveblog. For information on the LiveBlog functionality, see the “LiveBlogging” post.
